Allow the appliance to cool and refuel outside.
[ ] Do you have proper ventilation?
Open a window to ensure adequate ventilation and prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.

PORTABLE SPACE HEATERS
[ ] Do you maintain proper clearance around your space heater?
Keep a three foot clearance between all heating equipment and anything that can burn (everything can burn).
[ ] Has your space heater been approved by a recognized testing lab?
Make sure your space heater has been tested and approved. Look for a UL approval tag or sticker.
[ ] Do you use an extension cord with your heater?
NEVER use an extension cord with a portable heater.

EXTENSION CORDS
