NEW LOUNGE AND BAR OPENS IN THE DOWNTOWN

Harrisburg, PA – Mayor Stephen R. Reed and entrepreneur Nick Laus today cut the ribbon to officially dedicate the Level 2 Lounge above the Café Fresco restaurant located at 215 N. 2nd Street in the City’s downtown.

Reed said the 4,300 square foot lounge features dark wood flooring, dramatic lighting, loft-like brick walls and white leather furniture which create a unique social atmosphere for adults of all ages. He said the lounge exudes an upscale vibe by utilizing black crystal chandeliers, water features, plush couches, long banquettes and conversation nooks with pillows reminiscent of clubs in New York City and Miami, Florida.

The Mayor said the Level 2 Lounge also features food from renowned Executive Chef Travis Mumma. The food is infused with an Asian influence and includes such dishes as Petite Seared Mushroom Crabcakes, Spicy Tuna Tartar and King Crab Tempura, among many other unique appetizers and entrees.

Reed said the Level 2 Lounge features a continuous mix of all genres of music which include pop classics, imports, funky trance, remixes, hip-hop, tribal and house selections.

"The Level 2 Lounge is unlike any other establishment within the downtown or the area," said Reed. "The unique atmosphere and upscale dining at Level 2 Lounge provide its patrons with a memorable and pleasant experience, and we invite all to see what it has to offer."

Reed also said that the Level 2 Lounge is now home to Harrisburg’s "Power Hour", beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, when professionals and other patrons can unwind and enjoy cocktails and conversation in an unpretentious setting.

The Mayor said owner Nick Laus invested $700,000 into renovations and improvements to the building and said that the Level 2 Lounge represents 26 new full- and part-time jobs.

Reed said the Level 2 Lounge is open on Wednesday through Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. He said the lounge caters to private parties and special events. For more information, contact Jennie Shade at (717) 236-6600.
