CITY SCHOOLS REOPEN ON TUESDAY

Harrisburg, PA—Mayor Stephen R. Reed today reported that the Harrisburg School District will resume classes tomorrow, Tuesday, September 21. All Administrators, teachers and students should report on regular schedule.

Streets will be sufficiently clear to allow movement of buses, although a few detours may occur. No schools had any flood waters in them. However, the District’s administrative offices had three feet of water in the basement but, anticipating this may happen, all records and equipment had been moved in advance of rising waters and therefore no losses occurred. Basement clean-up commences today.
