TUSCAN SUN ‘MEDITERRANEAN’ EATERY ADDS FLAVOR TO STRAWBERRY SQUAREHarrisburg, PA—Mayor Stephen R. Reed today cut the ribbon and officially dedicated the new Tuscan Sun eatery in the Food Court of Strawberry Square. The delectable new dining attraction features rotisserie-style meats and Italian side dishes, such as roasted peppers with black olives and zucchini with balsamic vinegar. Reed said Tuscan Sun is owned and operated by entrepreneur Adriano Isernia, who initially wanted to open a pizza stand but opted for the more distinctive Italian cuisine because no other eatery offers the same in the Strawberry Square Food Court. “Tuscan Sun much enhances Harrisburg’s regional role as a culinary destination point for visitors, workers and residents ,” said Mayor Reed. “The distinctive menu offered at Tuscan Sun is unlike anything else in the city and region, and, combined with the heavy pedestrian traffic of Strawberry Square, provides a recipe for great success.” Tuscan Sun’s owner Adriano Isernia said their “menu is a healthy and delicious alternative to ‘fast food’ restaurants where people eat when they’re in a hurry. Although our prices are comparable to those of fast food eateries, the quality and uniqueness of our dishes are far superior and will give customers a true treat.” Reed said Tuscan Sun prepares all of its meats in a wood-burning oven to preserve taste and tenderness, and all of the dishes are seasoned with Mediter- ranean flavors. Daily lunch specials will include specialty meats, side dishes, breads and desserts. Party platters for special events and catering are also be offered. The Mayor noted that Tuscan Sun also offers a distinctive atmosphere reminiscent of an old Italian villa, complete with terra cotta tilework, copper counters, wood beams and arches, along with a wall of sunflowers, creating a warm and earthy environment. “The ambiance is all natural, Old World Italian,” said Reed. Reed said Tuscan Sun is open Mondays through Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and can be reached at (717) 232.0221. XXX |
