DAVID AND SON CLOTHIER OPENS IN UPTOWN; FEATURES QUALITY WOMEN’S CLOTHING AND OTHER FINE DRESSWEAR

Harrisburg, PA—Mayor Stephen R. Reed today conducted ribbon cutting ceremonies for the new David and Son Clothier, located at 650 Division Street in Harrisburg’s Uptown, near the Uptown Shopping Center. The new retail clothier specializes in fine women’s wear, hats and accessories at affordable prices.

The first major clothing retailer to open in Uptown Harrisburg in years, Mayor Reed said David and Son is owned and operated by entrepreneur David Williams, who nearly a decade ago began his retail career as a street vendor of clothing and other goods. The newly-opened David and Son Clothier represents his first full-fledged retail operation, and creates two new full time jobs in the city.

Reed said David and Son carries Louis Vuitton, Moshita, Nubiano, Monique and Chantalle clothing and accessory lines, as well as Burberry, Gucci and Urbanwear lines. The conveniently located shop can also provide special orders for dresses, purses and shoes. The store also carries a full line of men’s suits, ranging from $85 to $250 in price.

“We are delighted to welcome this appealing new business to Harrisburg,” said Mayor Stephen R. Reed, “and encourage residents and visitors to the city to stop by and avail themselves of David’s extensive inventory and very affordable prices. No one need travel to the malls or the outlets anymore for quality women’s wear and accessories.”

David and Son is open Wednesdays through Saturdays, from Noon to 7:00 p.m. daily, and by special appointment on Mondays and Tuesdays. David and Son can be reached at (717) 233.6816.
