MCGRATH’S PUB ADDS TO DOWNTOWN DINING AND ENTERTAINMENT OPTIONSHarrisburg, PA—Harrisburg’s Restaurant Row patrons have yet another unique dining and entertainment attraction to visit with the Grand Opening of McGrath’s Pub at 202 Locust Street, Mayor Stephen R. Reed today announced during ribbon cutting ceremonies for the strategically located Pub and Restaurant. Reed said the new eatery is owned and operated by Tom and Amy Scott, who are also the proprietors of the nearby landmark Scott’s Grille on Locust Street. McGrath’s Pub features an Irish American theme with popular ethnic dishes, beverages and live music offered. The eatery will initially provide full and part time employment for 10 new employees. Highlighted on McGrath’s menu will be such popular Irish foods as ‘Bangers and Mash,’ Gaelic steak, Corned beef and cabbage, and more, as well as traditional American cuisine favorites. Beverages will be offered in the traditional Irish 19 oz. Imperial Pint size, with such notable brands as Boddingtons, Guinness, Harp and other specialty Irish brews featured. The Mayor said McGrath’s provides seating for 112 diners downstairs and up to 45 in a special function room upstairs that is now available for meetings, parties and other occasions. “McGrath’s Pub is a delightful and distinctive addition to downtown’s growing dining and entertainment district,” said Mayor Reed. “Tom and Amy Scott have distinguished themselves over the past decade with their highly successful operation of the nearby Scott’s Bar and Grill, and we expect similar success with this newest venture because of their vast experience. McGrath’s Pub is very conveniently located in the heart of Harrisburg’s Restaurant Row and nearby to literally tens of thousands of potential customers employed in the downtown and at the State Capitol Complex. “Our appreciation is extended to the Scotts for both their ongoing commitment to the City of Harrisburg as well as their expansion of the dining and entertainment opportunities here in Pennsylvania’s Capital City.” Reed said McGrath’s Pub is open Mondays through Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Saturdays from Noon to 2 a.m, and can be reached at (717) 232.9914. McGrath’s is closed on Sundays. XXX |
